I go for my first consultation with the surgeon the 30th. My BMI barely qualifies me for surgery but i have high blood pressure and high cholesterol also...plus low thyroid. Would love to hear what your first consultation with your surgeon was like? Silly that i'm so nervous about it

Mine was preceded by a one on one seminar with the bariatric nurse, so she answered most of my questions. When he walked in he went through my medical history, overview the options of surgery, brief explanation of hospital stay and life after, and then a brief physical exam.

I almost felt, okay I did feel, like the surgeons visit was just a technicality....just the last thing that had to be checked off a list....I think his nurse and coordinator know my entire life history and are my true heroes!!
