How much pain where u in after surgery? What was your recovery time?

I went in for surgery December 31st 2012 and was released January 1st 2013, I had very minimal pain. the nurses said I did good because I only used the morphine pump 3 times after surgery. I still have not had much pain mostly some soreness around the wounds. but its tolerable.

I didn't have a lot of overall pain but really uncomfortable pain in the left upper rib cage. Doc said that is the area the stapler.cutter was at and it isn't unusual. Gas pain can continue for a while until it passes. overall by the end of the second week I finally felt pretty good. Overall I am a month out now and don't have anymore abdominal surgery(incision) discomfort. Getting more use to the new way of eating and learning how to chew, chew, chew!
