Hi, I am new to this site . I am a month post op. Came across this app by accident but I am glad I did . I started off 283 pre op. Right before surgery weighed 265..... I am know down to 248.9. Decided to have this surgery one because I have Thyroid problems and I was also diagnosed with arthritis 3 yrs ago . To make a long story short after not being able to walk earlier this summer I had to make a life long decision...at 37.

You are doing fantastic! Welcome to the "losers" bench. I found this site doing a search for Gastric Bypass Forums not long ago. Then I later realized I could carry my new friends everywhere I go using the phone app. I am excited to be having my surgery soon. While my immediate family may not totally understand how I feel after the surgery, I know I have this "family" to turn to when I need them........Welcome!

Thank you MrsBlues ....I understand how you feel. I actually did ntt tell anyone in my family except 3 people ...my hubby ...sister and niece. I have 7 sisters and only one knew just because she had the surgery a yr ago in Oct . I just didn't want any negative feed back but to my surprise it wasn't any . My husband called them while I was in surgery...lol . Its good to have some where to go for extra support. I currently live in the St.Louis area but will be relocating to GA ...looking to connect . If you knw of anyone please let me know!!!!
