I'm almost done with my third month of physician supervised dieting and I'm guessing I'll end up getting the surgery in February. I was hoping to find people at similar stages in the process. I wonder what it's going to be like trying to take walks outside in winter after surgery!

Anyway, Jan 4th will be my last diet day, then two weeks to hear back from the insurance company, then I'll probably have to set a surgery date a month or so out to accommodate the Doctor's schedule.

If they submit electronically it can take just 30 minutes to 2 days for approval

I'm only on my second month diet my weigh in is on october 9th out of 6 month diet. Ill be done with my 6 month diet on like feb 4 or something to that effect I have them written down. So hopeing for rny being end of febuary to beggining of march! I'm extra excited :-) GL and hopefully this goes by fast :-D

My final weigh in will be mid January, so I'm hoping for a February date as well.

Really... I hope mine gets approved that fast

New here.. working on my supervised diet right now. Will be done near the end of January.. hoping for a February date! :0)

Its depending on your insurance company they each require different things. Like mine was 7 consecutive months of supervised weight loss I was placed on a 1500 calorie diet and exercise program. I went in once a month for weigh ins and submitted food logs and exercise logs

Aw, I'm glad to meet you guys! Hopefully we'll all be going through this together : )

Insurance is a pain. I hope we can keep each other updated on how the approval process is going.

I think I might switch surgeons. There's a really experienced one that's 4 hours away, but there's an average one 10 minutes away. I imagine post-surgery that being close to my surgeon will be better... And there's a support program that I'd be plugged into as well that I wouldn't have if I went to the far away surgeon.

Ugh! I don't know. Any advice?
