How Do I Check For Myself?

Without sounding too clueless, can someone tell me how to check to see if insurance has approved my surgery? My surgeon's office submitted today. I have Blue Cross Blue Shield. I understand they'll report to my surgeon, but I like to be in the know!!

Just call your insurance company. Tell them you want to confirm the doctor's office submitted the paperwork and you want to confirm they have everything they need. Just keep in mind that it may take a few days for your insurance company to actually put you in the system. Good luck and keep us posted!!
