You may want to try Gerber Graduates Puffs it's a great alternative to chips and crackers. http://www.gerber.com/AllStages/products/snacks/puffs_apple_cinnamon.aspx

I have added the 5-grain wheat thins, and like everyone else CHEW, CHEW, CHEW!!! I have 5-6 of them with small pieces of swiss cheese and turkey pepperoni for my lunch when I've got a really busy day at the office.

While I CAN tolerate crackers, I still can't tolerate any bread. surgery date: April 30, 2012.

That's good info. My surgeon said no bread for me for at least 6 months.

God before anything, Family before anyone, Home before anywhere. Priority..

Amen to that! Bread and I don't get along at all. Hits the pouch as a big lump and just sits there! Not what I'd call painful but most uncomfortable.

I talked to my nurse yesterday and she said crackers are a go. She said that because they crumble and turn to powder they're perfect! So I celebrated with crackers and red pepper hummus last night for supper. YUM!

I'm 6 weeks out.....at 2-3 weeks post op I was allowed to have a few crackers preferably with cheese on them for the protein. Also allowed one half of a whole wheat English muffin or arnolds sandwich thin.
