portions

I'm 10 days post op now, and I can eat regular food but I'm still on puree and soups, but I'm scared that I'll end up eating the same portions. For lunch today, I had 1 cup of creamy mushroom soup and yeah I'm full, but I'm freaking out a little that maybe I should be eating less? I don't know...How am I supposed to know how much I'm eating?

I was banded on the 15th, and I feel like I can just consume a ton! I have my cup of liquid/pureed soup, and 20 minutes later, I feel like I want more. After two cups in an hour's time, I'm fine, but I'm afraid that I am consuming too much. Then two hours later, I want more. My dr. didn't give me a lot of insight as to portion control, so I don't know if I'm on track or having too much. I hope I'm not "pigging out" and don't realize it!!

I was banded on January 8th, and I am also worried about the hunger. I thought I would get full quicker. I guess I have to wait for my fill six weeks after surgery to lower my appetite.

It is also frustrating because I have not lost an ounce for the last 10 days even though I am staying between 1000 and 1200 calories a day religiously. I started my pre surgical liquid diet on December 26th and lost 15 pounds before the surgery. I then lost 10 pounds after the surgery, and now nothing. It is tough to have a plateau so early in the process. Has this happened to anyone else?
