Fill is the action of injecting saline or salt water into the tube of your band, which is what causes restriction. Your band is installed empty and fills happen when you feel the need to be more restricted. Your doctor should of explained this to you.

My Doc did explain about injecting Saline (salt water) into the band but he did not use the term Fill, he used the term inject.
