just found this app and had to check it out! had my bypass on Dec62011 and im down 40#s...a total of 100#s since the start of all this... but i've remained at a stand still for a month now and i've lost my motivation. got lots of reasons not to be lazy and hoping weather is the cause of my lack of movement!

Hang in there, I had my surgery 12-20-11 and have had times where my weight has stood still. I have had the unfortunate experience of throwing up just about everything I put in my pouch. My Dr did the scope three times. This last time he noticed that there may be an obstruction from a twisting intestine.

I am feeling better about surgery and am searching for my motivation as well. 40lb is fantastic, that is my Six year old you lost! Lol. 100 from the start is amazing! You have done fantastic. Take it day by day sip by sip. I am back at the basics. I am writing everything down that I eat, how long I exercise, what I drink and how I feel. I try to make very support group too. They are twice a month and I learn so much and leave so charged with positive energy for the next week. Hope the motivation bug finds you and me and we find out way to our goal :)

Tina

For sure, I am so glad I found this forum. I downloaded the app for my IPhone. I will be posting my successes as well as searching for suggestions. We can do it for sure. My six year old says her gym teacher says "you make your own motivation so let's move more today ".

Tummy us really hurting from surgery last week and throwing up last night and all day to day. This will pass and I am looking forward to the great weather that will be here soon. I am ready to walk and hit the gym again. :)

I spent most of yesterday not feeling 100%. Today is going to be a great day. 60 here today al well. My husband keeps saying this is not normal weather for Illinois and we are going to get hit hard with cold and snow. I think he is wrong!!!!! For our motivation let him be wrong.

Our new furniture came yesterday and I over did it with just having surgery wed to fix my tummy. I do plan on taking a walk today and enjoying the weather. Just at a slower pace. :)

Have a wonderful day and think one day closer to our goals. :)

i agree, hope he's wrong! im in Pennsylvania and so not wanting more crappy weather. i deliver the mail and have had enough with the cold...hehe. didnt get to walk today cuz had to take the middle child to his ped... he's got "swimmers ear"... dont know how he got that...ugh! but i did work up a good sweat cleaning the car inside and out...hehe. also boogied around Walmart waiting on his script. something i dont get to do when the hubby goes with cuz he cant walk fast...he's disabled. (nerve damage in his neck back in '04, the same side he had a tumor and like 40 lymphnodes removed back in '97) u'd think with all that drama in my life id have been thin...nope, i went the other way! we had our oldest son but were told no for anymore cuz of his chemo...haha...we had 2 miracle children later :) anyways i thought id just tell u alittle about myself without boring ya. have always had a weight issue but hitting 380 last yr was my highest and scariest! still a ways to go but 280 sounds alot better. my oldest son and my daughter (youngest) have weight issues too...this scares me! its so hard to see them struggle... and they see me but yet they refuse to listen...ugh! frustrating being a parent sometimes.

well...i hope everyone is feeling alot better today and u got to enjoy some warm sunshine.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
