Question

Hi everyone :) I am 9 days post op and on a full liquid diet for 2 more weeks. I have a question, I made top raumen today just to get a different taste of soup, I put it in my nutri bullet and it was almost completely blended. It was plenty thin as I was able to pour it right off my spoon, but when I took a bite there were tiny pieces of noodles still so I chewed them up like crazy before i swallowed. Do you think there's a chance I could have messed anything up by still swallowing the tiny noodles? I only had 2 tbsp. thanks :)

I doubt that there will be an issue..But to save yourself the anxiety...Keep to the program for the first while..It is there to protect your sleeve from breaking open or infection....You have to heal and in time the stomach acids will return to help breakdown what you have ingested....K

I'm not sleeved yet but I read somewhere that if it can go through a strainer it's considered OK for our full liquid stage. So maybe do the same thing but pour it through a strainer after blending it. That should take out any tiny noodle pieces still left.

My doc says use the strainer rule, but I accidentally had a few pieces of food and I don't think it caused any problems. You are probably fine...docs have to plan for the worst case scenario, so they want to error on the side of extreme caution.
