I am about 16 days post op and have soreness on my left side.. Also sleeping on my sides has not been uncomfortable... Has anyone/is anyone else having this issue(s)? I know my body is still healing but it's annoying!

It still hurt 16 days after for me too. But it gradually got better. Now as long as I don't bump it, it feels fine.

I am 9 days post op. Occasionally I have had a pain in my left side but I put it down to still having a bit of gas left. Certainly when I have burped it has eased off.

Last night in bed (thank god I do not have a significant other!) I burped the whole night long. But then again I haven't been managing a lot of food so maybe it is wind from a very empty tummy.

Having said all that I had a BM this morning and felt better.

However I feel on top of the world and cannot stop smiling to myself.

Maybe I'm just crazyeeeeeee!

I'm 17 weeks out now, but after week 1 the soreness went away until week 3 and it was more of a muscle soreness. I could sleep easier on my left side than right side at this point. Just take it easy and if anything is more than a dull soreness or pain call your dr ASAP!

Before long this will all be behind you! Except for the burps...well maybe, I still have issues with burps.

I'm still dealing with soreness, but I'm only 8 days out from surgery. Considering all the work they did in there, I imagine we would be tender for a little while...

I'm expecting a lot of soreness as they're taking my band out and fitting a sleeve at the same time. They say the most painful bit afterwards will be at the port site of the band....eek! :-)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
