New to group

New to group and looking for support and information.

I submitted all my paperwork to surgeons's office this week and am awaitng the "decision".

My Dr. is Barry Greene in Rockville, Maryland and from what I hear about him he is one of the best.

I am now driking one protein shake per day and would like to hear what other folks recommend. I had some packets left over from a medical weight-loss program. I really like the chicken soup. It feels more like a real meal than a chocolate shake. Any suggestions ?

Try www.bariatriceating.com They have a great selection of Protein and supplements. The site was created by a woman who had bariatric surgery and everything on it are things that she has tried and likes. There is a starter pack that includes her book, several single serving sizes of different Protein shakes so that you can try them before buying the full size, and an exercise cd and band that will get you moving.

No, I have no connection to the site, other than I really like the site and products.

Good Luck! It is all worth it.

Welcome foltzie! My dr. just had me on a low carb diet up until I had to prep for surgery. I lost 13 lbs. before surgery. Good luck!
