I had lapband in 2011 and changed to the sleeve in December of 2012.

Yes, Just scheduled my surgery 2 days ago. I'm going to Juarez. I'm very nervous, and to think, I wanted to have surgery this month, but couldn't get time off from work. I feel very alone. Like this is not going to work for me, that i'm not going to be able to change the way I eat. I have very little support. I have chosen not to tell very many people. I can't talk about my concerns with my husband, he does not understand. it's like to big elephant in the room he has chosen to ignore. A friend of mine had this surgery almost 2 years ago, and has done very well. I have asked her a lot of questions, but hate to keep bugging her, I'm going to the same Dr. she went to. she has made it sound so easy, but I continue to doubt myself. So I will continue to follow this forum, enjoy the holidays, and pray that the same new years resolution I make every year will actually become reality.

this forum has been a lifesaver for me. I couldnt imagine not having my boyfriend support me. I am very thankful that he does.

as for missing the chili,, I do! I miss the mountains the most though
