Newbie here with a gyn question

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone....I just registered here so I hope I'm asking my question in the correct area. I am scheduled for surgery in 3 weeks and just found out that I will be needing an ultrasound (gyn issue unrelated to the VSG) and gyn exam. I don't know if I will be able to take yet another day off from work before my surgery and am wondering if anyone would have any idea of when my abdominal area would be healed enough to be able to endure the pressing that they do when they do the ultrasound. I'm afraid to ask the surgeon....I've had so many problems with scheduling the VSG (long, long story) that I'm afraid he will tell me to postpone it. Thank you.

You are having a pelvic ultrasound? Different area -- lower than your surgery area which is above the waistline.

I had a pelvic ultrasound about a month after my VSG surgery. No problems.

Good luck!

Schedule a gny appointment after work. What about a Sat? I would have this done before I had VSG. If you explain the situation to your gyno they may make you an appointment after their normal hours. It doesn't hurt to speak up.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
