Pre-op...day 1...shakes and nausea...anyone else?

Hi guys...so today was my first day of pre-op. I haven't felt hungry but I think my shakes are making me sick. I had three shakes (Bariatric Advantage vanilla) and everything came back up tonight. Has this happened to anyone else? Should I try a different shake?

Any advice or suggestions?

Early on the shakes made me feel awful. Around five or six weeks they stopped making me feel ill. I know of many others who had similar experiences so hopefully, you will find before long that they don't bother you anymore.

maybe try a different kind?

i switched from bariatric to pure protein, they're less sweet. i felt like the sweetness of the BA was making me sick. it seemed to help. but the first few days you will feel sick because you're stomach enzymes are getting used to a much less fuller stomach (at least that's what my NUT told me when i told her i was starving). it WILL get better. i'm on day six of my three week pre-op diet. the hunger pains have gone down. make sure you get all your water in, too. it makes a difference.
