Start Pre-op diet Tomorrow

I start my liquid diet tomorrow. My surgery is scheduled for September 16. I am super nervous about this diet. My family and I leave for vacation on Thursday. It just worked out best that my surgery was scheduled right after. Any suggestions on liquid foods to pack for travel?

Are you driving or flying?

If you are flying I recommend the individual packets of Syntrax nectar powder. You can just pour it into a Water bottle shake it and go.

If you are driving I would also stock up on a case of Vitamin water zero or lifewater, something with taste to kill your cravings. Also some Soup broth packets that you can just add water to. Of course you'll also need to bring shakes with you!

Peppermint gum helps me a lot when my family is eating something that smells yummy. And for whatever reason on a raodtrip everything screams eat here lol.

You are very brave! Road trips are hard for me, chew gum, drink, drink, drink. Can you do SF Jello? Just remember that it is the start of your new life and your health is more important than food! You can do this! Good luck!

Update!! Since I left the other surgeon, I have found a new surgeon. My surgery is already scheduled for Nov 11. I am just getting a few more test done per the new surgeon and I will be done! The new office is staff have been extremely nice and professional! I have heard nothing, but, but good things about this office! Fingers are crossed!
