Oh, and do I have to limit portion on soups?

Not sure about portions, but I think they are considered solids. The point of not drinking right before is so the soup doesn't move through your system so fast.

My dr and nut said when you are on full liquids, the ban on liquids during meals doesn't matter since the full liquid diet moves right through and don't hang around. Once we get to soft food we have to start with the no liquid during meals. That said, doctors vary, so I would ask your nut for clarification. I am supposed to keep to around 4 oz for soups, which is about what I do. Can't get much more down, unless it is broth.

Thanks! This makes sense to me.
