Clear liquida intake

I am 6 days post op. tomorrow is one week anniversary. I am still in clear liquids for another week. I was told to drink 4oz every hour but I feel great and like I could def. drink more. If I continue to sip slowly can I have more or am I limited to 4oz. I just don't want to mess up recovery

You should let your doctor know tomorrow that you are able to drink more than that. I would say in an hour at this point you should be consuming 6-8 ounces, but I'm not your doctor! LOL Surely 4oz is enough if you are getting all of your proteins for the day, but I would be a little concerned about keeping my stomach at the appropriate size to prepare for when you begin the puree stage. If it is too small, you will have trouble eating, and that's not good either! Call your doc and tell him. :)
