I'm 9 days post-op and so grateful to have all of you on this board to look to for inspiration, reassurance and advice.
I live about an hour from where my surgeon is, and I have three young children, so day to day life is pretty busy.
I feel strongly that I would benefit from talking to a therapist who knows the drill when it comes to weight-loss surgery. I didn't seek out a therapist with my band (I had a band to sleeve revision), and I wish I had.
I will ask my surgeon at my follow-up if she knows of anyone in my area who specializes in weight-loss therapy and/or overcoming food addictions.
I want to maximize this tool and get the most out of it. This surgery cost a ton of money, I cannot squander this opportunity!
Any thoughts on finding a *good* therapist to help me in this process?
