Glad your mom and you figured it out. When the kitchen sent up my food for dinner It was chicken noodle soup not just chicken broth. I knew I couldn't eat the noodles and didn't but it freaked out my RN when she saw my soup had noodles in it. For those who are still waiting for surgery, It is important to know what you can and can't have before the surgery and don't assume that if they give it to you it is ok to have. Be your own advocate!!

They had us on clear liquids at the hospital. And liquids only for two weeks when we got home. I'm glad, based on what I've been hearing, that our strict diet rules exist. It may suck at the time, but they are very clear and the hospital doesn't screw anything up and we don't get confused either.

Glad you figured it out!

Thank you, I am pre-op, scheduled for 9/16. I will def keep all this in mind and make good mental notes. Love this site.

I hope you are feeling better and down the correct road of your journey :)
