Post surgery pain in the side

I was prepared for the pain in my left shoulder post surgery. However, I wasn't ready for the pain in my left side. Did anyone else have this pain? I was sleeved July 31. How long does it take to finally have a bowel movement? The first couple of days I know I didn't get all my water or protein for the day. Today feels better than Thursday or Friday so I feel good about being able to up both my water and protein intake. I know that will help with having a bm. Thanks in advance for taking the time to answer my questions.

I have the exacts acme side pain as well and my surgery was on the 30th. Not sure how long it will last. Ready for some of the pain to subside and to have some more energy. I know I am being impatient. Think it will all happen with a little more time. One day at a time. I am able to sip most of the day. I am using the premier shakes and Nectar to get in all my protein. Hang in there.
