What works for some, may not work for others. For me, I changed my eating habits immediately after my first consult with surgeon & NUT to prepare for post op. Lost 18 lbs from july thru Oct by eating high Protein, low carbs. Really cut back on junk food, no fast food, drank more Water, gave up caffeine & beer. Didn't eat after 7 pm.

The first few days was hard, but then I focused on what I needed to do to make this entire journey a success.

Cut the sugars fast food out!Start walking daily if you can't join the gym and good eating smaller in size and lots of WATER! You can do it I had my first visit on 6-4-13 257lb as of today I'm 245lb and going down next NuT visit is the 8th after hope to get a sleeve date.

My doc had us switch to protein shakes for breakfast and lunch, and then switch to a low carb regular dinner at night. No snacking after 7:00. It wasn't easy but I lost the weight he wanted me to before the surgery.

What shake did you have and how many ounces please?
