I went to see the surgeon today at Kaiser WLA. Dr. said I was a good candidate for gastric by pass because of being a diabetic for over 10 years and my acid reflux. However, I informed him that I would prefer to have the gastric sleeve. He stated the acid reflux may get worse. However, he is also going to repair my hiatel hernia which may help with that issue. The scheduler should be calling in a few days. I am very excited and anxious for the exact date.

I had the band and it caused horrific reflux when it slipped and caused a hernia. In march I had the band removed, hernia repaired and the sleeve all in one surgery and no more reflux since that day!
