I am in Waterloo.

Hi there, I am in Kitchener..and just starting researching about getting banded, I take it ohip doesnt' cover this  I don't have insurance other than ohip, so I have to see what the approx. cost would be for this....is there a local Dr. for this??

No local surgeon.

I was done by Dr. Yau at the TLBC clinic in Toronto.

Their inclusive fee is $18,000.

I am in Kitchener - I will be banded on the 29th by Dr. Mumford SWLC in Toronto. $16,000 inclusive. I filled out the form online, had a phone call from the clinic and then a phone consult with the Dr. My surgery was booked for a month later. I have private insurance thru my husbands work and they will not cover any of the surgery but you can claim it on your taxes at the end of the year.
