I was sleeved in Marietta, GA on July 3rd and so happy to be on the other side. I have just began to start reaching my liquid and protein goals. Finally starting to regain some strength about me. I started out at 302 pre-op and managed to lose 10 lbs before surgery. I must admit that I am not hungry but I am still grieving the loss of food as I knew it, my friend. It's not like we can just stop it but we need it to survive and it's around us all the time. The smells that feel my house at dinner time...umm and you might say go take a walk and get out while they eat but I want to be with them! I keep telling myself these first 3 weeks are temporary and the I will start testing the waters at putting food in its place. I need it for fuel but its not my friend. I will make good decisions and my sleeve will remind me of this journey. Anyone else having these head discussions? How are you doing July Sleevers?
