My surgeon said, you have teeth, don't you?!

I'm looking forward to soft foods in two weeks. I'm on day 1 of puréed and it hasn't been so bad (yet!). Breakfast was puréed cottage cheese, lunch was left over egg drop Soup, snack was a puréed blue cheese, yogurt and cottage cheese dip, and dinner was strained cold Greek yogurt soup (think thinner version of tzatziki).

Not sure yet what I'm having tomorrow, but I'm glad that I've gotten in 55 grams of Protein so far today, and supplemented with only 1/3 a bottle of Isopure coconut.

Some of the things I plan on incorporating into my puréed diet are refried Beans, tuna salad, crab salad, salmon mousse, chicken and stew.

I just made tuna with light miracle whip and relish! YUM I'm on soft foods so I didn't purée the tuna' date=' just smashed it up really well! Has anyone else did this on the soft stage?[/quote']

Yes and loved it!

Has anyone tried some pimento cheese on the pureed/soft food stage? I always put my homemade pimento cheese in the food processor so it's soft and smooth!!

Sounds great! I'll try some!!!!

Just did a tuna salad tonight for the first time. Instead of mayo I used a wedge of Laughing Cow French Onion, plus a dollop of spicy brown mustard to go with the albacore tuna and of course relish (mine was dill relish, because that's just how I like it :) )

Spacedust, you're so lucky! I have a whole week left before I get to soft foods. I did get to make my first decaf Cappuccino yesterday and that made me feel a bit more normal. Heaven! I can't wait until I get to have cottage cheese and strawberries again!

I have to admit that it is both a blessing and a curse! The variety of flavors and textures makes eating interesting again (although I'm wire satisfied with small amounts! ) but I am having to remind myself that anything more than an ounce to an ounce and a half of denser Protein will make me hurt - I made that mistake of ignoring the danger signals once and boy, I do not want it to happen again! No puking, no slime, but waves of pain for about 30 minutes that I had to walk off.

I'm not sure whether having a sleeve of steel is a good thing or not sometimes :/

After one week

I've got 2 weeks of liquid and then 4 weeks of the puréed stage.....6 WEEKS BEFORE I CAN HAVE ANYTHING SOFT!!!

I was 3 weeks full liquids, 3 weeks puree, and 2 weeks soft.

Canned wild salmon from trader joes is a really good purée / soft food item. You can mush it up pretty well with your fork. I remember that was the food I ate mostly (and shakes) until real food.
