I had the same fears and even considered getting the Duodenal switch but I wanted to give this a try. I've never been thin in my entire life.. I was well into the 200s by the time I was in highschool

You will be successful! I can say this, bc I also started out with 170+ lbs to lose, & in the last 3 months, my sleeve has not ALLOWED me to cheat/fail. Physically, I mean. Plain & simple,

Hi, I have been overweight pretty much my whole life-and need to lose about 170 lbs. Since I went for my first appointment and met with the NUT I have lost about 20-25 lbs in 1 1/2 months. My surgery is not until August-my husband is having surgery this month (he is having the bypass). I am so worried that I will fail at this like I have with everything else before this, that I am afraid I will need the bypass and then that makes me wonder if I should just get that and not get the Sleeve. I am wondering if anyone else has felt that same way-that they will fail and not lose the weight.
