Post op Week 1 diet

Hi,

First post, my surgery is this Wednesday and I am getting nervous (Guess you could say that about any surgery)

My question is what did you eat during the first and second week after your surgery?

Did your doctor send you home with any diets? Most people are on liquid diets right now which is broths, jello sf, soups with no chunks in it..... :) If you don't have a diet plan, please let us know so one of us can post it here for you..... :P

Well, congrats on your upcoming surgery! :)

Everyone's Drs are very different, so everyones diets are different. My diet was week 1- Clear liquids, sugar free -- week 2 - thick liquids: cream soups, Protein shakes, v8..

What's your Dr's orders for you??

I was on clear liquids for the first week, then cream soups for 2 weeks, mushy foods for 2 weeks and then begin with soft foods etc.

Your dr will give you a list of what he expects you to eat. Hope things go well! You can do this!

My doctor ordered clear liquids for 2 weeks, full liquids for 2 weeks, puréed foods for 2 weeks and so on and so forth. Ask your doctor what he advises. Congrats and good luck.
