You shouldn't have any problems with flying. All of us who had our surgeries in Mexico flew home within a few days. I asked about this a few weeks before I went to Mexico, and most other Mexico patients indicated that they had no problems with the flight other than gas. You are a few weeks out now, so gas is probably not an issue for you at this point. Are you nauseous? If so, then you might want to take some anti-nausea meds before the flight.

I admire you for going on vacation when still on pureed diet. I see a lot of mashed potatoes in your future...

I am in the same boat. I am starting purees July 10th and I am leaving for 8 days in Mexico on the 14th. I am bringing my magic bullet and some protein powder with me. But I can see me eating a lot if applesauce, cottage Cheese and mashed potatoes. But I am not hungry anymore so I don't think that will be a problem.
