Birth Control

I'm just curious.. But I'm on birth control and was wondering if anyone does NOT take it? Just takes precautions? Thanks.

I do not. And I don't plan to.

I was on birth control before my surgery. While in the hospital one of the people on the surgical team - don't know if she was a doctor or NP - took me off my pill. Mostly because I'm in my 40's and it is getting time to stop. I knew it was going to happen eventually. The only thing I'm worried about it that the whole reason I went on the pill initially as a teen was that I had the most horrific periods. Would be doubled over in pain and vomit it hurt so much. Now I'll have to wait and see how it goes. I should be getting it by now, but I just read a post that some people seem to be irregular after surgery and some even miss a month.

I was on birth control and was told to be off it a month before my surgery and a month after. I was horrified that I was gonna have my issue that I had for being put on birth control in the first place, but so far so good. I will be starting back on it July 17th, which is exactly a month after my surgery.

Sorry I hit the send button before I was finished. I had clexsan (not sure of spelling) injections they help prevent blood clots :)
