Pre op diet- not doing so good

Recommended Posts

Heck yeah... I even had an "easy" preop diet (low carb, low fat). Just keep trying!

And how you do on the pre-op diet is no indicator of how you'll do post-op. It's a whole different ball game ;)

I must say it has me questioning my success post op. Good to know that I still have a chance of being successful on the other side. Thanks!

Yes the pre op is the hardest because you still have your big tummy and it still wants what it wants! BUT there are so many reasons why you need to stick with this diet. If you have messed up, then vow to start anew and do better tomorrow. Go ahead and set goals for yourself and concentrate on one meal at a time. Get anything that might cause you to stumble out of your house like Cookies, chips, ice cream and candy. If it is out of the house, it is a lot harder to screw up. You need to do this and you need to do your very best to ensure that you are successful on this journey. YOU CAN DO IT! Take it one moment at a time!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
