I am so happy that I didn't gain over the holidays! the best i have ever hoped for was to not gain!

So here goes... For the month of january, my goal is to lose 5lbs. From 194.8 to 189.8

:)

Good luck in advance everyone!:clap2:

Oh my goodness... how quickly we forget!!

Still another week left, guys! How are we doing? If tomorrow goes well, I JUST might be able to make my goal! (to have lost 100 pound-er-oos)

I had to look back to see what my goal(s) were!!! I made one and missed one.

1. Get to where my ticker is no longer a lie.... ACCOMPLISHED!!!!

2. Stop being so dang hard on myself ......ummmmm, not quite accomplished! (but doin' better!).

Keep workin' on that, Yoda. and congrats on the accomplishment!

I, am not longer obese...

I'm OVERWEIGHT! Woot! Woot!

Feels like I've said that before... but I think it was the morbidly obese, to merely obese.

I don't know HOW I lost 2 and a half pounds, but I'm taking it. I got on and off the scale 5 times, and it was the same everytime. Stupidly I hopped on again after my shower, and it was up. Shouldn't have done it, but I'll pretend I never saw it.

OMIGAWD MANDI!!!! ONE MORE POUND and you are in the THREE (3) digits lost!!!!!!

:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

Wow Mandi, almost to 100 lbs lost, holy crap!!!! Just try picking up 100 lbs!!:faint:

hey, you're overweight too!!! WOO!!!

There are charts all over the place.

http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/ I went here for example. They don't have it on this page, but generally, 25-30 is 'overweight', 30-40 'obese', 40-50' is 'morbidly obese', and 50+ is super morbidly obese. I'm sure they have words for above that.

I actually watched Medical Mysteries last weekend, and one story was about that 1200lb man in Mexico. They said something like "Manuel is what Dr's call: MORBIDLY OBESE!" I was like, "Hey, I was morbidly obese!!" They make it sound like 'morbidly obese' is the extreme of all extremes. They should have pointed out that you don't have to be 1200lbs to be considered that. :)

Thanks mandi, i will check it out. I"M ONLY OVERWEIGHT!?!?! YAY!!!

i think i saw or read about that guy too. they should have a category like supermobidity or something...cuz WE were never that bad off!

Actually funny that you mention it but I saw a show a couple weeks ago and they were talking to people who were over 500 pounds and they were calling them Super Morbidly Obese. No Joke!

By the way congrats guys on being overweight. :biggrin1:

How many other people in this world would take that as a compliment?
