I have not stopped cooking since day 5 post op. I have hosted 2 dinner parties since my surgery & I'm only 10 days post op now. Tonight the menu was:

Apps: Crab stuffed mushrooms, bruschetta & warm artichoke dip, wine & beer bar.

Main: Ribeye, twice baked potatoes & cheddar bacon rolls

Dessert: Triple chunk chocolate frosted brownies w ice cream, pumpkin pie & grapey goodness. (Made from whip cream, cream cheese, brown sugar & red grapes.

Can you say super carb? I made everything from scratch. I haven't eaten any of it. It makes me happy to see people eat my food. I'm not sure why so much now after surgery!

The time before I made spaghetti & home made meatballs, salad, & raspberry cheese cake. Next day we had meatball subs while we watched game of thrones.

I can't stop cooking. Which is so strange because I cannot eat! Wtf

Anyone else?

I thought I was the only crazy one!!!!! I did this constantly!! I am now 2 months post op and still cooking, but not these crazy, intricate, delish meals anymore. (Poor hubby). I never took one bite. I definitely "lived" through my family watching them eat my homemade meals. Part of it was being off of work recovering too. I had more free time to think and plan out meals instead of quickly throwing something together. But back to work I must go, so more simple meals now;)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
