on my own! I have never been pregnant in my life! I got married in 2004 ( no bc) and we tried to get pregnant for so long with so many unsuccessful cycles we just gave up! I did the HSG test, endometrial biopsy all that! My paps were always normal.

I could never qualify for IUI because of my diabetes--insulin resistance--I did opk after opk...It just never worked out! My ovaries gear up to ovulate but never actually do! My hormones including hypothyriod (low thyroid) is just all over the place!

I hope with the surgery I can begin to get back in the normal range of blood sugar/hormones and my weight!

I wanna beat this pcos syndrome! Im tired of the mood swings and anxiety! I sometimes feel bitter and resentful because I cannot become pregnant as easily as all the other women in my life! To them it comes like clockwork! For me...NOT at all!

So I am hoping/praying/ putting my hands(life) into the surgeons hands....

I am hoping that all of us pcos gals can attain all our wants and needs---cheers to a healthier lifestyle and a NEW lease on life!

I wish you lots of luck. But also, fate. I know of so many people like you who gave up and then the miracle happened. Concentrate on your health and your relationship. It will happen when it is not your mayor focus.

I have had problems with being irregular and pcos. I was sleeved and not even a week later I got my period. Which I usually only got 2 times a year. So I am happy that this might open up new things.

Hello there, I also have PCOS and have had two children. For years the doctors had me on metformin which helped with the insulin resistance but caused me to develop neuropathy in both of my legs. I do have two children but it took us 9 years to conceive the second. It wasn't until I lost a lot of weight that my cycle returned to normal at least long enough to conceive our second child. I feel for you because I know how hard it is to fight weight with PCOS, we do have it twice as hard and the hormone problem doesn't help. Due to your insulin resistance your body is constantly producing insulin which in turn keeps your appetite high and you graze most of the time. I controlled my weight pretty successfully with Metformin but stopped it when I found out that is caused the nerve damage in both my legs. Needless to say once I stopped taking it my weight spiraled out of control once again. Well my friend, I was sleeved May 29th and I have lost 26 lbs so far and I can tell you that this horrible feeling having to eat all of the time dissipated completely. This surgery was my only and last hope to life a normal life. I wish you the best and my prayers are with you.

I knew something was wrong, because I didn't periods, so I went to my Dr. He referred me to a fertility Dr, who put me on Clomid. Clomid stimulates your ovaries so they release the eggs. I was able to get pregnant 4 months later, and again 4 years later. I now have two kids, age 7 and 11. It can be done, you just need some help, and the right Dr to guide you.

Yes, I have...because of my type 2 diabetes they wont do the IUI process...hopefully with the sleeve it will jumpstart my fertility once again!

I'm 45 got diagnosed at 22 yrs old.Back then pcos was very new.Doctors had no clue how to treat.Been married 25 yes no kids.I've tryed clomid for 6 months in my 20s ,no success.I also very upset cause all my friends was having them with no trouble. I learned to accept the fact of being childless.Even on clomid I never ovaluted. Now I'm 45 going thru process of vsg.Haven't thought about getting pregnant in yes and I don't want kids this late in life(which probably wouldn't happen) but just in case I'll get something to prevent it.If they had wls surgery back in those days I would have probably had no trouble getting pregnant. But it was gods will so I accepted it.What I'm trying to say kids is wonderful but if u don't have any its not the end of the world lol.I'm very happily married with no kids.Wish you all the best luck.
