Just wondering if ok to take small liqui gel pills during this phase. I am 6 days post op and wanted to take Dulcoax stool softener. I have had one very small bowel movement since the Saturday before my surgery this past Monday.

That is a question you need to ask your physician.

I do not want to give you bad advice, but I have 4 pills that I have taken for years. My doc said to wait until day 3 and then it would be OK to take take them. He even prescribed one supplement that is in capsule form.. I have been taking a pill, sipping for a couple minutes then taking the next one. I haven't had a problem.
