I have roughly 100 days until my surgery. My body is worn out. I'm 270+ and my body is in pain. I have had a few surgeries during the past year and exercise was limited because of the types of surgery that I had. I actually gained 30 lbs in addition to my already overweight body. Wow ... 30 pounds has really made it hard to exercise without being in pain afterwards. I went biking for 45 minutes and now my Knees are screaming at me in pain. I lifted weights and my elbows are joining in with my knees. I'm so ready for this surgery. I feel bad for my husband because I'm consumed by this surgery. I know he will be glad when it's done too. So anyone having their surgery around Oct 2013?

I understand your pain. I was diagnosed with Lupus and rheumatoid arthritis last August. I am also over weight and I'm close to that surgery. Mine is planned for July or August as if right now. My exercise consultant suggested that I do Water aerobics. I have checked into it and they even have an aerobic for arthritis. I haven't started but plan to next week. Hope this helps!!!!

I am planning on Water aerobics while I get used to my new body!! I have a hot tub (ok, I keep it cold in the summer...; - ) ) and I bought some pool water weights that I will do in there between classes.... plus I will do my walking... my plan is to start by "cracks" in the sidewalk... hahaha!! Every walk, when I am ready to quit, I told myself I will have to walk to the next crack and then I can turn around..... (they are pretty far between....) And I'll try to remind myself to have a lot of humor!!! I sound ready as I type this, and then tonight I'll think.... WHAT AM I DOING?????? ARGHHHHH!! My surgery is June 24th

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water. ย Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿ˜ญ. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! ๐Ÿ˜ž
