I am wondering about the polish on toes? Does that have to come off for surgery also? Reason I ask is I have gel polish. Kind of a pain in the butt to take it off but will if necessary. Thanks for any info!

I wasn't given instruction on this but can tell you that they had a hard time getting my blood oxygen due to my gel nail polish. They put a thingy on your finger to measure it and the polish doesn't allow them to get a read or an accurate read. My level was always low so I had to wear oxygen tubes in my nose most of the time. Not the most comfortable thing but manageable. I would say take it off just to be safe. I think toes should be fine.

It only applies to your fingers unless they had to put an oxygen clip on your toe for some reason! lol

My surgeon said fingers and toes. It does have something to do with pulse ox.

I had to take finger nail polish off but could keep polish on toes on.
