Pre Op Weightloss

Hi everyone! My surgery is tomorrow and I couldn't be more excited!! The only thing that is bothering me is my lack of weightloss pre op. I have been on a clear liquid only diet for the past 10 days with 5-6 servings of liquid protein per day and haven't lost any weight. Has this happened to anyone else? I can't help but feel like I failed already :(

Hi you you are never a failure unless you quit... and you haven't done that! I would just focus on today.... best wishes for your surgery... and recovery!

  • Keep your head up! The goal of the preop diet is not weightloss, it is shrinking your liver! You will do great tomorrow and then the pounds will start to drop! Good luck!
