From Lapband 2 Sleeve

Hello Everyone,

I'm new to the site, I was a member of the Lapband forum, after doing research and being able to ask questions I decided to go with the sleeve. I'm excited about the new journey that I am about to begin and happy to have a site such as this to help guide me...

I have the lap band right now and will be having a revision on Tuesday may 28. You definitely made the right decision in going for the sleeve. Had I known about it a year ago, I never would have got the lap band!

Congrats and welcome to the forum. I too initially was going to get the LapBand until I spoke to a few neighbors with it. 3 lost weight, but didn't get fills, or had complications and have gained all of the weight back. The only has maintained hi weight loss but was recently diagnosed with band slippage and has to have it removed. Three are going to have to have revisions to the sleeve after seeing me lose 65lbs in 13 weeks. Good luck to you on your journey.

I was going to get a lap band too. But then doing my research and having a co-worker that gained weight with a lap band I decided to sleeve instead! The research for sleeve is very promising and gives me peace of mind that I'm doing the right decision. I too love this site! Everyone's success, fears and stories are really helping me so far! Counting down to my surgery date June 3rd. :)
