Favorite Meal Right Now: 4 Months Post-Op

Recommended Posts

This is my Fav Meal right now! It came to me after getting bored with cold cocktail shrimp... Yumsies!!

I take 5 defrosted cocktail shrimp (Market Pantry Large Shrimp) and skewer on a small stick. I sprinkle with salt, pepper, and a True Lemon packet. I place on a pre-heated, medium-heat pan sprayed with spray Canola Oil and cook on each side for like 30 seconds. I place this over a half cup of low-fat Kroger cottage cheese.

Stats:

20 g Protein

5 g Carbs

4 g Sugar (from Cottage Cheese)

140 Calories

I am four months out right now and can get this meal down if I eat over about 15 minutes.

If you are on a cold shrimp kick, I recommend my signature sauce: Reduced Sugar Heinz ketchup with a dab of horseradish (depends on your liking). Much lower sugar shrimp sauce option than any bottled sauce you will find out there!!

I can't wait to add shrimp back on Wednesday. I always make my own cocktail sauce like you with lots of horseradish and lemon juice! Yum!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
