Food suggestions for soft food diet?

I started my puréed stage/soft food diet Friday. My daily meal is meat loaf and mashed potatoes. I've also made puréed chicken salad. Any other food suggestions??

I'm almost 3 weeks out, and people can really notice the difference already!

Basically anything super moist, tender, and soft. Keep all those 3 adjectives in mind and you will be fine. If it is missing one of the 3 then don't eat it.

BTW.... post some pics :)

Congratulations! I am about two months ahead of you. Soft foods.... I did eat scrambled eggs, and also made quiches with cheese, finely ground sausage and bacon. I tolerated it very well, as long as I remembered to eat it ever so s l o w.... Ricotta cheese too. And a spoonful of peanut butter became a lollipop treat.

I also bought some chunky soups (and stew), and put them in a mini processor for a split second, until they were soft and mixed, but not yet pureed. Those also worked for me. Also I could tolerate pork pulled from baby back ribs. It was very moist and went down easily. Gravy helps when eating chicken.

Many people eat tunafish, and also cottage cheese. Good Luck to you!

Boneless chicken from the crock pot cooked down with chicken broth was my staple. Sometimes I'd add a tbsp of lowfat sour cream, 2% shredded cheddar and some enchilada sauce. Yummo and it has ALOT of protein!

You look great!

You look fantastic!
