Anyone try V8 after surgery? How did it work out? Good? Bad? Thinking a healthy alternative when not hungry and already have protein in...

I buy the 11.5oz cans by the case from Sams. I liked it before and like it now. Usually take a can to work with me and drink it throughout the morning.

I had a V8 around 7 or 8 weeks post op and it was fine. I sipped slowly and only drank about 1/3 but I had no problems with it.

Great - thanks! It doesn't hurt or make you feel overly "full"?

No problems when I drank it. I also like V8 fusion lite and V8 Splash diet for a juice that is low calorie. I had unflavored protein powder to the fruit juice varieties and that is good.

Hopefully it's ok (I'm 2 weeks tomorrow) I tried it a week ago and it seemed like it might have been a little to spicy but I have been drinking a 5 oz can everyday since. It's only 30 cal and it makes me feel like I'm eating. For me it goes right down no resistance.

V8 is a pretty good choice for the fruit and veggie servings. However, keep an eye on the sodium.

I'm about 2 weeks post sleeve and had my first V8 Low Sodium today. It's taken me almost 2 hours to drink 12 oz. I guess it's due to the consistency, but it's annoying. Hopefully as time passes it will get easier, because I love V8.
