Brand New and a question

Hello Folks,

My name is WeeWers and I'm about 2 months away from my surg.

I have been on the "Daily Strength" forum for bariatric surgery -- and had no idea you all exsisted.

I'm wanting to know what folks use to mix there protien powder into their liquid. I know just shaking it

leaves all kinds of little powder balls -- is there something special that you use?

I'm learning so much just reading and reading. Thank you for listening.

WeeWers

p.s. is unjury the favorite protien powder? Do you use milk or soy to blend it in?

I use skim milk first then protein powder then fruit, I then use a hand blender and that works well for me.

I like strawberry protein powders from gnc.

There are shaker cups designed to break up the little bits. You can look up shaker cup on amazon or target or walmart and see what they look like. They carry them in stores, usually somewhere near the shakes themselves. :)

I use premier Protein shakes from costco. They are ready to drink so I don't have to worry about mixing them.

Also, Syntrax nectar has a ton of varieties in powder flavors. I mix those with Water or almond milk depending on my preference. Their chocolate Truffle is yummmmy. Get a sample pack on bjsbariatrics.com. They also sell shaker cups that have a compartment for powder that screws on the bottom AND has a ice pack that goes in it to keep it nice and cold! :)

If you like Syntrax, they have good deals for the tubs on amazon.com.

Congrats on your surgery - I hope all goes well. I'm 9 days out today and feeling AWESOME. ;)

I use either a Ninja blender or a wand blender. Does a good job.
