Hello, I'm Kailie.. I'm 25 I live in Michigan and I've been heavy my entire life! Have 2 children a girl 6yrs and a boy 1yr. I am 5'8" and currently 345lbs. I also battle PCOS (poly cystic ovarian syndrome) I attended my first seminar last night where the surgeon who gave the presentation only made me want the sleeve even more! He said more and more insurance companies are approving the sleeve!! Lord help me, I hope mine will!!!

I originally started my journey at mount sinai but switched cauae theh messed up my paper work..but now im so close I hope to geg a date to day when I meet with the surgeon

Good luck ! I hope you get a date today !!! I had neighborhood n they switch into health first just now so I finished my exams but then the dr Yatco has to be re enrolled and that takes forever so surgeon coordinator told me to switch to hip ASAP they don't give any hassle and ill get my date in June . So counting down to June 1st when my insurance is active with hip and they call in June 3. I can't wait!!!!

I had health first n switch to metro plus once my surgeon told me they had no requiremnts..

Yea they told me hip has no requirements or additional testings

I think it really depends on tbe hospital cause in jacobi hip has a 6 month diet ..lol even if I switch insurance n was in mount Sinai still required 6 months diet but jacobi doesnt

Yay really ! My surgeon is Dr. Yatco ' date=' they are putting in my paper work June 3 rd to HIP so I hope to get a response in less then two weeks . Congratulations !! So happy for you <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> I can't wait to get my answer ![/quote']

Yes is very few doctors that do that lol I think she felt even more like a mom to tell me that because we were both from the same country well my family is Dominican I was both here but I think that's why. So in a way thank god she said all that To me because she put that idea in my head and I did my research and here I am now lol . I only knew about gastric bypass and I didn't want to do that since I seem friends of mine gain back the weight after five yrs but to know the sleeve is different and lowers the chance of that happening is great but of course eating right and exercise will do the trick :)
