cpap or bipap use

How long did you use the bipap or cpap machine after surgery?? Were you able to go off it completely? When did you have your sleep study done. I am almost 6 months out and have lost 60 pounds. Have 35 more to go. I have been using it for about 9 years. Thanks! Carol

Im preop my surgery is July 3rd. I spoke to my Plumonary Dr about that and he said i need to be tested 9 mo after surgery and that test would determine if I would be off my cpap. But I think it would be much safe to check with your dr. to see what is best for you . good luck!!!
