Why are some Social Groups private?

Because they don't want your ass in there! :P

What social groups do you mean?

There are various Facebook groups that are formed . For instance I am in one for other March Sleevers. It is 'private' because some people don't want to broadcast they have had WLS.

That's not nice.. I want my ass in there!

Groups on this forum.. Some are set to private so you can't comment or even ask questions. Seems like another "mean girl" club to me. I don't want to have " join" every little group, so I was just wondering why someone has to join in order to participate

Not Facebook.. Right here in our sweet little forum neighborhood!

Ugh.. I'm going dead and I'm at work so I won't be able to continue my rant until after 7!

Hehehe... Just joking there girl!

Yeah I've seen them, you need a password, I've seen the teens asking to get into that one and then receiving a password after but I don't know the particulars....
