Dr. C question

I've been banded for 6 months now and have only lost 30 lbs. I have had trouble lately with restriction. It happened all of a sudden. I can now eat well pass the cup mark now. Last night I ate 2/3 of a huge filet mignon and a bake potatoe. Today I was able to eat a 6" subway sandwich bread and all. I've had 3 fills and I had great restriction then bam. Could I have a slip or is this normal to sometimes lose a fill?

Most likely you just need another fill. Could be a slip, or more rarely an erosion. If you were my patient I'd fill you, if no luck then get an upper GI or do a scope.

Good luck!

What is a fill? and how many do you have to have after surgery? Is it a life long thing? do you have to pay for fills? Im considering having this done just wondering? I feel like an idiot lol not knowing yet what a fill and a port is?
