Post Op Foods?

I was wondering what I should stock up on right now for when I get home from the hospital. I know it is a liquid phase,, but does that include protien drink, carnation breakfast, cream of mushroom or just chicken broth and gatorade?

Thanks for all your suggestions. Audree

protein powder, soup, jello, popsicles, teas. You can eat creamy soup as long as it fits through the straw. That is the rule from my doctor. Anything through a straw is fun until mushie stage. Then you can add potatoe soup, etc. You will lose a ton in this phase. Good luck to you.

icecream!!! yum i lived on icecream and jello for the first few days after surgery! Best wishes!
