Hi, Lizanne - I'm so sorry to hear you are having such a hard time! I can't help you with regard to your medication - I think you're on the right track by calling your doctor tomorrow to discuss it.

HI everyone, I had surgery on Monday the 15th, with a hiatal hernia repair. I had to stay in the hospital for a few extra days due to my potassium being very low. I did not have much pain and I have done everything I have been told. When I came home on Thursday I was fine, but since Friday I can not stop crying and i have bouts of such sadness. They told me prior to surgery that I would be able to take my Effexor ER capsule after and then decided to give me some other form of it 2x's a day. I KNOW this is what is screwing up my head. I can not do this up and down roller coaster and it is not due to wanting to eat or lack of fluids. Can anyone tell me if they were able to take Effexor ER after surgery, I have been reading some people open up the capsule and put it with applesauce or yogurt. I think I will do this tomorrow but I will be calling the Doctor first. Please any help you can give me or shine some light into my severe crying spells would be such a help.
