Jacked up Periods?

Before my sleeve surgery, I hadn't had a period in 3 years due to my IUD. Since my surgery, I've had monthly periods with spotting between periods. I understand that estrogen is stored in our fat cells, and as we lose weight, estrogen is released. Will I be enduring crazy periods & spotting until I hit goal & start maintaining??? I'm tired of the "surprises." Anyone relate to this?? Also, I'm nervous about the effectiveness of my IUD.... Do I talk to my gyno or my surgeon?

I would ask both your gyn and your surgeon about the IUD--and I would def. use a back-up method of birth control. Definitely don't want to conceive while you're in the main losing phase. My last cycle was horrible. Absolutely horrible....

Just went to my three month meeting with Nut. and she said you are way more fertile after surgery and to use extra precautions! Don't chance it!
